Here are some of the links I have found useful or interesting.

From time to time you may also find links to money saving voucher codes or special offers.

The links should re-direct you to the correct web site and open the web site in a new browser window so you do not lose this page.

I will only ever provide links to web sites or suppliers I know or have used myself and found to be satisfactory.

Buying Components Direct

I have found the cheapest way of buying components is to source them from reputable suppliers direct from China (after all that is what many of the retailers do!). Buying direct the components are incredibly inexpensive and usually offered with free postage. You may have to wait anything from a week to a month for them to be delivered but often the total price including delivery is less than the cost of delivery alone for locally sourced components and this has enabled me to buy and build things I wouldn't otherwise have been able to afford to do.  I have also bought good chucks, cutters and drill bits for my lathe, guitar pickups, scope and camera mounts, etc.  It is a good idea to check the reviews of the specific parts and suppliers on the sites listed below, as there are often multiple options, and then pick the highest rated.

The suppliers I have used most often are:

AliExpress.com

Banggood.com
